Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

"CleanCut VO" refers to the web-based audio processing service available at cleancutvo.com. "You" or "User" refers to anyone who accesses or uses the service. "Pro Plan" refers to the paid subscription tier, and "Polish Upgrade" refers to the optional per-file premium enhancement powered by Auphonic.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CleanCut VO, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the service.

Use of this service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

3. Service Description

CleanCut VO provides tools for cleaning and enhancing voice recordings, including pause removal, loudness adjustments, and optional advanced processing via the Polish Upgrade feature.

4. User Accounts

You must register to access processing features and manage your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. Free Trial

Each new user is eligible for a one-time 7-day free trial with 1 hour of full-feature processing.
Payment information is required to activate the trial.
At the end of the trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid Pro Plan unless you cancel before the trial ends, in which case your account will revert to the Free Plan.

6. Subscription & Payments

Free Plan: Includes a one-time lifetime quota of 60 minutes of standard processing. Max 3 mins per file. Low-quality MP3 export only.
Pro Plan: Includes 10 hours/month, priority queue, all formats, and all controls. $29.99/month.
Polish Upgrade: $4.99 per 45 polish minutes (up to 1 hour per file) for advanced studio-grade processing. Non-refundable once processing begins.
Processing Allowances: Monthly processing minutes for Pro plans are allocated at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. Unused minutes from a previous period expire and are not carried forward to the next. The free-tier allowance is a one-time, lifetime quota and does not reset.
Additional hours can be purchased for $34.99 per 10-hour top-up. These hours do not expire.
Pro subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled by you.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds for failed processing may be issued on a case-by-case basis if caused by a technical error or system failure.
Polish upgrades are non-refundable once processing begins, unless a technical error occurs.
Other refund requests are evaluated case-by-case. Contact support.

8. Usage Policy

Do not abuse the free trial or processing limits.
Attempting to bypass restrictions or use automation may result in account termination.

9. File Handling & Retention

All uploaded and processed audio is stored temporarily and automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing, unless processed through the optional Polish Upgrade.
Files processed with the Polish Upgrade are securely transmitted to Auphonic GmbH (Austria), our appointed audio-processing partner acting as a data processor under EU and UK GDPR. Auphonic deletes processed files according to their retention policy (typically 21 days).
CleanCut VO and Auphonic do not use uploaded content for AI training or external analysis.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain full rights to your uploaded audio. CleanCut VO retains all rights to the underlying platform, UI, and software.

11. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties like Stripe (for payment processing) and Auphonic (for Polish upgrades). While we strive for reliability, we are not liable for outages or failures caused by these services. Audio files sent for Polish upgrades are securely transmitted to Auphonic’s servers for mastering and returned automatically once processing completes. Files are deleted according to Auphonic’s retention policy.

Affiliate referrals (FirstPromoter). We use FirstPromoter to attribute referrals so we can reward promoters who referred you. If you visit via an affiliate link, a first-party referral cookie may be set for up to 30 days. If you later subscribe to CleanCut VO Pro, we share minimal attribution data with FirstPromoter (your email and a referral identifier in Stripe metadata) solely to calculate commission. Prices are the same whether or not a commission is paid.

CleanCut VO maintains data-processing agreements with its third-party providers (including Auphonic, Stripe, and Postmark) to ensure all processing is performed in accordance with GDPR and UK data-protection law.

12. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found abusing the service, violating terms, or attempting to interfere with the platform’s operation.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

14. Limitation of Liability

CleanCut VO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of data, revenue, or reputation.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16. Changes to Terms

We update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on the website or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of the revised terms.
